At The Rec, we offer multiple group fitness classes for different levels of fitness. Led by expert Group Fitness Specialists, each class will offer safe, fun, and effective group fitness sessions designed to improve strength, power, flexibility, stamina, skill, agility, and speed while avoiding injury.

Active recovery helps performance and muscle tissue become resilient and compliant to the demands of training. Power Plate vibration technology is incorporated with passive and active stretching to help increase active regeneration & recovery from workouts and stress. Planned recovery time is essential to optimal injury free training.
Strength training differs from muscular endurance and cardio. Common benefits of strength training are: stronger muscles, increased bone density, more nervous system activation, stronger joints, and increased stamina. HRC is an extremely fast and efficient way to strength train. Take two classes a week in less than an hour per class, and gain or maintain strength.
Twice weekly full body HIIT training through uniquely planned classes, muscles that are commonly used grow, and cardiovascular benefits outweigh those form simply running.
This is a great class for beginners & intermediate levels and those who are new to Pilates. We review the primary equipment and learn a classical series of beginner movements to build a strong core foundation for all other classes.
Functional core focused class integrating Pilates Reformer, Pilates Chair with Kettlebells, medicine balls, and Kabuki Bars. This Core class helps generate dynamic strength and resilient power by activating all the neuromuscular connections of the functional core.
This beginning and intermediate class focuses on the primary functional muscle groups for a strong and injury free core. Pilates is mixed with TRX, kettlebells, and dynamic strength for a more intense whole body mind experience.
Get your laps in the serene 86-degree pool, relax in the hot tub kept at a toasty 103 degrees, or bring the family to play in the kiddie pool (94 degrees) that features two floating fountains. Glow-in-the-dark balls are charged and ready to streak over the net and across the darkened dome with music setting the vibe and LED lights guiding your path.

We offer our local Veterans a free biweekly workout incorporating cardiovascular training, safe strength training, Pilates, and flexibility training. Workouts are designed to help with total body conditioning, resilient recovery, and flexibility.
This is a new open format class where members can come in and utilize the spin bikes for an hour and spin at their own pace for cardio work. Music and lights are provided for your ride so each person can go at their own pace.

This is an open format class where members can come in and kick/punch the bags for cardio and aerobic conditioning.
If you would like to have private or semi-private instruction in the correct way to kick/punch along with self-defense work you can sign up with our Instructors Dr. Purdy or Dr. Lumpkin (please see backgrounds below) as scheduling allows.
